- Argyll Velodrome built

- Held Universiade Games
1989
- Early Summer: City of Edmonton improperly resurfaced track making it unsafe to ride
- September: Velodrome closed
1993
- AVA approached Edmonton with the idea that they would take over the responsibility of managing the velodrome and property
1995
- August: The City approved the proposal for AVA to take over
- The Juventus Cycling Club and Juventus Sports Club joined with the AVA to assist with volunteers and monetary help towards the operation of the facility
1996
- Early summer: Proper track resurfacing completed
- August: Track re-opened
2001
- Held National Track Cycling Championships
2005
- Held World Masters Games
2007
- September: City unveils plans of a new Indoor Velodrome / Sports facility
2009
- Ruled against building on the current site
2012
- October: City council approved the indoor proposal for Coronation area
- October: City approved $8.5mill to build facility; $4.2mill approved for the design
2013
- May: Demolition of Coronation arena approved
- June: Architectural team approved
2014
- December: City Council approves Coronation Recreation Centre Project
